Fishing Guide Service | Mountain Home Arkansas | Fishing The White River
About
the White and Norfork River from the fishing guides on the river.
We fish Arkansas's White and Norfork River weekly.
The Norfork River is overshadowed by the White River, but locals
know that both rivers are exceptional.
In fact, the Norfork River boasts the second largest brown trout ever
caught in the world. Its 4 1/2 mile stretch, with its consistent water temperature,
actually pulls fish from the White River.
The Norfork River is
truly an awesome trout river that demands the angler's attention.
The White River is known around the world. Miles of river with crystal
clear water teeming with trout, the White River brings people from
around the globe to hunt for these large trophy trout.
Both rivers are
incredibly beautiful. In fact, many of our clients enjoy the boat ride
as much as the fishing.
The rivers also have
sections that are exclusively for catch and release, with artificial
single barb-less hooks. These sections of the river are set aside for
the fly and lure fisherman, and usually less pressured.
Robert Lee has been
trout fishing for over 35 years. As a young boy, it started with dad
bait fishing. At about age 10, it moved to bait and lure fishing. At 25,
Robert hired a fly fishing guide and has been fly fishing ever since (17
years).
Whatever type of trout
fishing you prefer, Robert is ready to pass on his knowledge. Robert
enjoys both fly and bait fishing, and will not discriminate against
either, feeling that both can easily coexist.
